Berman made a great save at the end. What's concerning

is she should not have been put in that position. Following the timeout we start the possession with three Louisville players on the ball. Someone has to be open. Instead a short pass was made (keeping the Louisville players in the play) and the VT player promptly runs into a double-team up against the sideline. First, shouldn't have made that pass. Second, don't run into a double-team. Third, don't let the sideline become a third defender. Fourth, call your last timeout when the player gets doubled and pinned against the sideline. This happened in front of the VT bench. Instead VT didn't call timeout and turned the ball over, letting the Louisville player go almost unimpeded to goal for a clear shot. Thank goodness for Berman's save.

This game was similar to the Duke game in that both should have been put away much easier. Fortunately, VT got away with some poor decision-making at the end today. Against, Duke (a similar situation where VT couldn't clear) they were not as lucky. VT has to play much smarter going forward when they get into these types of situations. That Duke game may come back to haunt them when it comes NCAA selection time.
